That's home
Last night,
I was looking for the unknown address of joy
Someplace where I can find peace
Where I will be away from the rat race
And,
Just before the lights went out
I found a piece of paper
Dull and torn
Old yellow pages
A few syllables occupied the small space
But now was it worth to wait for the lights ?
Will this piece decode the address of joy?
Thinking that loud in head
I pressed each switch on the board
Was just expecting it to bring back the luck that's no more
Tired of my search operation
I decided to close off this session
Alone in the room filled with dark
I hit the hay building castles in the air
But this didn't help the one who was desolate
A bell rang out loud and clear
Not excited anymore
Neither in the mood to get up, still I opened the door
Gusts of laughter passed
All of a sudden, the wet weekend turned into seventh heaven
Many Footsteps followed in the darkness
Bags landed on ground, people started chit-chatting loud
Everyone lay flat on couch
The room was no more dark
The dead silence turned noisy
Only thing which struck me
Was that every clear spot turned messy
Warm hugs and sweet memories replaced the emptiness within
I found peace in that one embrace and posted my worries to bin
All roads lead to Rome but
The one which is the best one
That's home
