Mom- its Sunday !

Sunday is referred as best day in a week because almost everyone enjoys a holiday on that day from students to the workforce and even the senior citizens. It is a different picture even outside your home,the busy roads, family trips, crowded and pre booked tickets in cinema halls, outing with friends and plans for home etc. different people with varying choices enjoy their Sunday in their own way.

Now recall a moment from your past where you told your mom that ” today is Sunday” or maybe just before reading this article as the title suggests.

This Sunday has a different meaning here, we use this phrase often in our home to delay our jobs to do on Sunday or perhaps prepare a long list of work to be completed on Sunday. Well, in my opinion for this title is slightly different here.

Think Sunday from your mom’s point of view.

Especially for those mothers who are home makers. For them with the sunrise their household duties start and are not free even after the sunset. One can’t count or explain their jobs by just assuming. Their tasks are so random and unpredictable that consumes their majority of time. We all are aware that for them Sunday is not that day where they are free from their work as we are; I mean the professionals, students or the senior citizens.

We wait the whole week to pass so that we can be relaxed on this particular day. Wake up without any routine and are not in a hurry to fill the mouth with bits of breakfast and run towards the daily destination. But for these ladies Sunday means a day when almost every member of the family is present on the dining table to have food and tease and have fun. The day dedicated to celebration. Even in the science of colours, Sunday is considered an auspicious day for celebration and hence similar colours are preferred to wear which are bright and reflect joy.

Sunday adds up more work in the list of moms .May be you have demanded from her to cook your favourite dish or planned an outing for which she has to prepare, you may have left your clothes on bed which were getting accumulated since weeks and ultimately your mom has to wash it after expecting it to be done by you, you may have invited a few guests at home, may be friends etc. there are numerous ways in which every family plans their Sunday and some end with no plans.

In all you are just adding more drops of sweat on your mother’s forehead because of your plans of Sunday. It is pathetic that we do not consider that lady’s wish who has treated everyday as the same day, for whom Sunday is not at all a relaxing day. The housewives are not making themselves confine to the hot flames in kitchen or within the boundaries of their home. We are solely responsible for this kind of situation, give your mom a free and light day so that she can relax on a couch and read her favourite magazine which was somewhere kept in the cupboard behind the clothes, which she was thinking to read from a long time but has no time.

Let this Sunday , you say to your mom that "MOM IT’S SUNDAY "and make her sit on the master’s chair in the dining room and ask her what she wished to eat on her special day..the family’s special day.When all the cheerful faces can exchange their glances with one another and play some sort of game. This upcoming Sunday, enter to the kitchen, book your mom’s favourite movie’s tickets and go and buy a pair of cool clothes for her from your salary or pocket money.

Don’t  think that today is mother’s day so their came a piece of praise for mothers because today is just an ordinary day and my idea is just a random idea which I want my readers to ponder over even after they read this article and implement it with that same feeling as your mother would do for you.

Last but not the least that Sunday is not just a day it is a saga of moments….the moment of reunion.
